CITY MARKET
The Historic City Market is a one-stop “shop” to take in the local flavors and products of Kansas City. From farmer’s markets on the weekends, locally-owned shops to get the perfect souvenir of your trip, to The Arabia Steamboat Museum where you can see artifacts from the wrecked steamboat that was lost for 132 years! The City Market is a great place to spend an afternoon!
BAR K
Traveling with your furry companion? Add Bar K to your itinerary! Made out of repurposed shipping containers, located right on the shore of the Missouri River, this part bar and dog park is the perfect place to hang out with good food, drinks, and the best kind of company- dogs!
PANTHERS PLACE
You can find Panther’s Place in the Westside neighborhood, in the courtyard by Poi-o, with an entrance covertly hidden behind an airstream. The open-air backyard unfolds like a hidden oasis: Plants and succulents are everywhere; string lights zigzag overhead, and a spiral staircase leads to a second-story lounge overlooking the dreamy scene below. The drink of choice here is Miller High Life. Panther’s Place is open most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays spring through fall, but they also set their own schedule, so there are no guarantees. @panthersplacekc is only open when advertised on Instagram.
HAMMERPRESS
Hammerpress is a letterpress print shop and design studio that specializes in letterpress cards, stationery, ephemera, show posters and art prints here in our studio in the Crossroads Arts District. Everything is designed and made in house!
KNUCKLEHEADS SALOON
Have you been missing live music? Knuckleheads is the spot for you! This live music joint is a favorite among locals, for good food and even better music. A large outdoor courtyard area with an upper deck allows for social distancing, so you can enjoy the tunes.
OVERLAND PARK ARBORETUM & BOTANICAL GARDEN
Located right outside of Kansas City is Overland Park. Take in the great outdoors at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Garden. Explore 300 acres of hiking trails and prairie land so see the natural side of Kansas City.
