A protected bike lane in Seattle. With the help of community feedback, we’re moving forward with the design for one-lane protected bike lanes on each side of MLK Way S, from S. Judkins St to Rainier Ave S. We want this design to work not just for people who love to bike, but also for everyone who lives and works in the area.
This protected bike lane will:
- Be an important bicycle connection to the Mt Baker and (future) Judkins Park light rail stations as well as the I-90 Trail, Franklin High School, the Metro Transit Center, and local businesses.
- Improve neighborhood connectivity, increase mobility and transportation options, and enhance both pedestrian and bike safety in southeast Seattle.
We have developed an early design concept based on what we heard in spring & want to hear from you!
There are a few ways for you to be involved in this process, and we’d really like to hear your voice:
Join us for an online early design drop-in session.
We’ll be sharing information about the project, gathering your feedback on the early design concept, and answering questions.
