Patient Care Philosophy

Personable and skilled, Dr. Jonathan Gross is an experienced medical oncologist who treats a range of cancer types. Passionate about cancer care and side-effect management, Dr. Gross enjoys getting to know his patients and serving as an advocate from diagnosis through treatment.

“It is important to me that patients understand that I am their advocate, striving at all times to meet their needs and goals,” he says. “I enjoy developing close relationships with my patients and their families. I hope that connecting at a deeper level provides a sense of security, knowing that their needs will always come first.”

Dr. Gross was drawn to the field of oncology because of its ever-changing nature, as an area that’s always evolving and moving toward better treatment options with fewer side effects.

“Oncology is a rapidly changing field that provides for stimulating discussion and investigation,” he says. “The hope of finding more effective and less toxic therapies keeps me engaged and motivated.”

Personal Information

In addition to serving patients and their families, Dr. Gross serves his community by participating in and supporting children’s programs, as well as coaching youth sports, such as soccer and baseball, to help kids develop physically, emotionally and socially. He also participates in cancer-related programs and events that promote wellness and cancer screenings.

When he’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children or toiling away on his hobbies, metal- and wood-working.

“I want my patients to be confident in their care, knowing they are receiving the best possible treatment and support,” Dr. Gross says. “It is remarkably rewarding walking side by side with so many inspirational people.”
