Clarks family member raises funds for new footwear brand

Galahad Clark, a sixth-generation member of the Clarks footwear dynasty, is raising money for footwear brand Vivobarefoot on crowdfunding site Crowdcube.

Vivobarefoot was founded in 2012 and has patented ultra-thin resistant soles. Clark is hoping to raise £750,000 on Crowdcube over the next month, in exchange for 4% equity in the business. To date, it has raised £250,000.

The brand has a turnover of £9.5m and hopes to increase this to £29m by 2019. Vivobarefoot has five UK stockists.
