“'Black lives matter' is not a strong enough statement for me.”

That's what Black Lives Matter (BLM) Seattle co-founder Melissa Jenae Johnson said as she sat down with Fox News’ John Roberts in a recent interview.

Johnson said that white people “have to be willing to give up the things that you currently benefit from.”

Johnson, the child of an interracial couple who supports the Tea Party, gained notoriety when she and fellow BLM protester Mara Jacqeline Willaford disrupted Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders’ rally last August.

When Johnson was asked why they interrupted the rally of a far-left presidential candidate, Johnson said, “[Sanders is] Left for white folks. He’s left for the needs and concerns of mainstream white America.”

However, Johnson did not stop there. She took the chance to bash the Democratic Party for their reliance on the black vote.

“Part of what we’re doing is waking black voters up to their power as a voting bloc, within the Democratic party,” said Johnson.

Johnson noted that the Democrats have “consistently” taken the black vote for granted.

Johnson finished the interview by stating, “What it’s gonna take to dismantle white supremacy is white folks actually gotta give up something. You have to actually sacrifice yourself. You have to be willing to give up the things that you currently benefit from.”
